SKI RENTALS

END OF SEASON UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who rented skis during the 2025/26 winter season. We have exciting improvements in store for our rental department heading into the 2026/27 season. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next year!

Tenney Mountain offers day rentals for ski equipment every day we are open for the season.

All ski rentals can be purchased right at the ticketing desk inside the Tenney base lodge. Please be aware that rentals may sell out during busier time periods.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

  • Ski rentals can be purchased at the ticketing desk inside the Tenney base lodge.
  • Due to the limited quantity of rental equipment, Tenney Mountain ski rentals are on a first-come-first-serve basis. While we try our best to accommodate everyone, please be aware that rentals may sell out during busy times.
  • A ski rental package is $45 for the day. The ski rental package includes skis, boots, and poles. You must rent the entire ski rental package, there are no partial ski package rentals.
  • All customers must read and sign a release of liability form upon arrival. Individuals under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the release form for them. A liability waiver must be signed for all rentals, including helmet rentals.
  • Helmet day rentals can be purchased separately for $10.

What is your skier type?

Your height, weight, age, boot size, and skier type are used to determine the visual indicator settings of your ski bindings. Determining your skier type is your responsibility. Be sure to provide accurate information, as any error may increase your risk of injury. Consult the following descriptions to select your classification:

TYPE I

Cautious skiing on smooth slopes of gentle to moderate pitch.

  • Receive lower-than-average release/retention settings. This corresponds to an increased risk of inadvertent binding release in order to gain reasonability in a fall.
  • Type I settings apply to entry-level skiers uncertain of their classification.

TYPE II

Skiers not classified as Type I or III.

  • Skiers who designate themselves as Type II receive average release/retention settings appropriate for most recreational skiing.

TYPE III

Fast skiing on slopes of moderate to steep pitch.

  • Receive higher-than-average release/retention settings. This corresponds to decreased releasability in a fall in order to gain a decreased risk of inadvertent binding release.
  • This classification is not recommended for skiers 47lb (21kg) and under.
