KELSEE BEAUDIN

Snowboard Instructor

Kelsee brings nearly 30 years of snowboarding experience to the mountain. She first learned to ski at age three, but quickly switched to snowboarding (the *cough cough* better winter sport) after learning on an oversized Private Label board she won at a local ski-a-thon on her hometown rope-tow hill. With a strong passion for helping others learn, combined with her teaching and recreation background, Kelsee loves sharing snowboarding in a positive, fun, and confidence-building way. You can expect a relaxed, encouraging environment where you’ll feel comfortable pushing your limits—whether it’s your very first run or your tenth attempt at making it click!

LESSON QUESTIONS

If you’re a first time skier or rider, book a lesson with one of our instructors who specialize in first time lessons. All private lessons at Tenney are personalized to your specific needs, and our instructors will guide you in the right direction.

That’s completely normal, and it’s exactly why our instructors start slow and build at your pace. Our ski patrol is on the mountain every operating hour, and instructional staff knows the best routes down the mountain. You’re never rushed into anything you’re not ready for.

Yes – you can book with any instructor of your choosing. Just note the instructors schedule as they may not be available on your chosen lesson date.

There can be up to 3 total participants in a private lesson. We ask that all lesson attendees in the same private lesson are of similar age and skill level. Instructors can only teach at the pace of the lowest level skier/rider in a private lesson.

Bring a snow jacket and snow pants, and wear multiple layers as you can always de-layer if it gets too hot. Bring gloves, warm socks, and a helmet if you have it. These items are also available for purchase in the Tenney Pro Shop if needed. Ski and snowboard equipment can also be rented for the day if you do not have your own equipment.

Yes, as long as your lesson is cancelled or rescheduled at least 2 days ahead of time. Any lesson that is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of your planned lesson date will not be refunded. If Tenney Mountain needs to cancel your lesson for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

END OF SEASON UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who reserved a private lesson with our wonderful ski and snowboard instructors during the 2025/26 winter season. We will be improving our private lesson offering for next season, and we can’t wait to have everyone back next year!

For the 2025/26 winter season, Tenney Mountain offers private ski & snowboard lessons. Whether you’re brand new to the slopes or looking to refine your technique, our private lessons provide personalized instruction tailored to your skill level and goals. Each lesson can accommodate 1 to 3 participants, making it a great option for individuals, families, or small groups who want a focused, customized experience on the mountain.

All Indy Learn-To-Turn passholders will still be required to reserve their private lesson online. Indy Learn-To-Turn passholders need to present a valid ID at the ticketing desk before the start of your lesson.
