a mountain with a story

saved by a community that never let go

Tenney Mountain is a rejuvenated, family-owned ski area offering authentic all-mountain skiing and riding, snow tubing, lessons, ski and snowboard rentals, special events, and live music in the lodge.

Founded in 1960 and known as “The Gateway to the White Mountains,” Tenney stands as a living testament to New England’s rugged skiing heritage. Its revival was made possible by a passionate community of skiers and riders who never gave up on the mountain.

Tenney is served by four lifts: a Platter Pull accessing the tubing and beginner hill, a TowPro rope tow serving the new PLN Terrain Park, and two primary chairlifts—the Eclipse Triple and the historic Hornet Double, New Hampshire’s oldest operating chairlift. Across the mountain, guests will find narrow, winding trails, natural glades, classic New England terrain, and an experience that feels refreshingly different from larger resorts.

“While it seems many larger resorts are struggling to properly build and maintain bigger parks, Tenney knew what they had to work with and just did it right.” – Darkside Snowboards

“Tenney Mountain is as underrated as it could be…the mountain is unbeatable in its offering of old-time skiing with narrow winding runs, glades and trees.” – Lou Botta, DCski

With a powerful, state-of-the-art snowmaking system supporting full-mountain coverage, an upgraded terrain park offering night riding for all ages, a newly renovated and redesigned restaurant, expanded parking, and additional tubing lanes, Tenney is building on the momentum of its return and preparing for an exciting second season on the Indy Pass.
